Purpose


The aim of the Computer Engineering Department at Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, is to train Computer Engineers who can produce solutions for societal needs, are equipped with the knowledge and skills required by the age, are internationally competitive, committed to universal values, and have embraced professional ethics. At the same time, it aims to monitor technological developments at national and international levels and conduct academic and scientific studies in these fields.


Mission

The mission of our Computer Engineering Department is to train engineers who are proficient in the scientific and technological developments of the age in the field of computer engineering and possess analytical and systematic thinking skills. Providing a high-quality education covering the theoretical and applied aspects of modern software, hardware, and information systems; and providing an academic environment that supports a research culture, innovation, and an effective problem-solving approach constitute the fundamental elements of this mission. Contributing to the transformation of scientific knowledge and technological production into social and industrial benefit; training individuals who are committed to ethical values ​​and open to interdisciplinary studies is also an important part of our department's mission.

We aim to provide our students with a comprehensive academic and professional development environment through a continuously updated curriculum aligned with universal engineering standards, a strong research infrastructure, and sustainable collaborations with industry. Our long-term vision is to create an academic structure that gains global visibility through its scientific projects, publications, and graduate achievements; a structure that produces technology, is innovative, and can shape the engineering needs of the future.
